We been at the hospital to have her heering checked, and after some problems getting a good reading we got one that sayed she was all normal. We did have to bribe the child with a bit of sugar water to get that result tho.

We have had alot of different guests, all wanting to hold Isabella, and in most cases she would let them and be in good mood about it. Only time she crys alot is when she is hungry, can’t pooh, or getting her diaper changed. Somehow she have figured out she wants to be hungry every time I want to eat. I have tryed to make a deal with her telling her that if she wants food she have to let me eat, for some reason she have not been listening yet. Im in the other hand is getting pretty good at eating with one hand and breastfeeding at the same time.

Yesterday we went into my work to show of. All my co-workers was very impressed with her and found her very cute. I don’t think anyone with sence would say anything else to a newmade mum, but anyway i choose to belive they all ment it.

The cats are not as freaked out as they was, but Lille my is trying to prove to me she can still be cute, even tho we dont have as much time to give her attention as we used too.

The last days have gone by with getting to know her and have guests. Everyone is very exited and interested, but who can blame them shes great. Shes allready feeding well, and shes not to evil to her parents dureing the nighttime. She sleeps 4-5 hours, wake up and eat and then go back to sleep. Shes a very hungry little one, its like she trying to prove to everyone that even tho shes small theres nothing wrong with her.

She is a bit yellow due too neonatal jaundice, but she is awake, eating and alert. So in general a healthy little baby that does all the things a baby is suppose to do.

We are very happy parents to our little Isabella.

So I did what I been doing most days the last weeks mornings. Watched bad morning telly and made chrochet. But today it happened, i finally finished my baby blancket, and just in time as well. I was starting to doubt I would make it. But now Im pretty happy with the result. Its the first thing in crochet I ever made and it took me allmost 3 months.

When I was done on with the blancet i decided something had to happen, so I asked my friend June to go in Tivoli with me. My pelvis is not to happy with me these days, so it was a bench to bench trip. Today it was very pretty in there, both flowers and animals of all kinds made it nicer. I had a really nice day in there today. I get restless very easy, so a long day out is just what I needed.

This poor little Duckmum was floating around with aproximately 10 chicks. It made me think that Im very happy that humans usually just get between 1 and 3 kids a time. She looked very busy in the water where the 10 chicks seemed to wan’t to swim in 10 directions. Made it har to get a good picture of the fast little buggers too.

One of the very nice parts of haveing a walk in tivoli is the colours, the gardeners in there must have so much extra work to make everything looks so green with the amount of water we had from the skys this summer.

Monday I was scanned to determin the weight of the little kangaroo inside me. I had invited my mum to come, and she was very happy with that. We tryed once more to make it show what gender it was, but this time it was the hands that was in the way. Its just a cheeky little one. And little is what it is, 2600g. It’s within normal weight but on the low side. Truely I don’t mind if it wont make it past 3500g before it wan’t to come out and meet the world.  

It’s a bit odd to think about that im a mum within the next two weeks. Not sure I will really understand till im actually have the little one in my arms.  Im not really nervours, I bet the baby will get out somehow. Im so looking forward to be able to turn from side to side in bed, and be able to travel places that are more then 5 minutes from a toilett.

I been to lasy posting things this months, even though there have happened alot of things.

First of all I turned 30 the 7th, and I had a party for all those who could show up. Good food, good friends and a super famely that helped me arrange the whole thing. They all made a super effort to make it a fantastic day. It made me so happy. The weather was summer, and half the guests was sitting in the garden. I don’t think there is any way it could have been better.  I will use the oppotunety to say thanks once more to my family for all the help.

After comming home from that something very sad happened. one of our cats got very ill, and we had to put her down. She got a tromboses and her backlegs was paralysed, so in the middle of the night we went to the pet emergensy, where they could do nothing for her. She was only 4 years old. We still miss her, she was a very “talkactive” cat, who would tell us when we was suppose to feed her, pet her or play with her. So it’s a bit more quiet in the house after shes gone. Im just happy we still have the two other cats left.

We also got our washing machine working. It’s fantastic to be able to do landry when you want to without haveing to carrie it all down 5 floors, just to see that a only one mashine is working. So I been makeing ready, and one day I could not wait anymore and washed all the babystuff, it looked soooo cute when hanging to dry, that I had to take a picture of it. Now its all placed in drawers that will be close to where the diaperchangeing should happen. All that need to be done is to build the flat pack bed.

Today im going to have a ultrasound scann of the baby. They need it to judge the weight of the not so small scrimp and check that it is ready to make it’s arrival. Im pretty sure it is, I can feel the hormons go nuts these days. Small odd things allmost make me weep, and my sence of heat is totally out of order. For some reason I think I live in a sauna when everyone else feel fine. Im just happy that its not high tempature summer in Denmark yet. Lets just keep it like that the next week or two, then im ready to go out with my baby and my pram and enjoy the summer.

We also went down to one of the oldest babyshops in Denmark and ordered pretty much all the “hardware” we could imagen the baby would need. So now everything is waiting for us down there until we desides to go pick it up a cupple of days before im due. So except for some smaller things we are actually done with getting stuff for the kid.

The last mayor thing we been getting has been a washing mashine, it arrived today. All we need now is for someone to come and teach it to do landry, aka make water and power actually connect to the mashine. Going to be great when Matthew dont have to walk 5 floors down to get the washing done.

These days my weeks go by with going to water gymnastic and gymnastik 2 times a week, then there is the odd examine and some massage and physiotherapy. So weeks just drive by. Im planning my birthday the 7th of June where im getting 28 people to come and celebrate that I been here for 30 years. My belly is growing bigger and bigger, and im starting to wonder how big it can actually become. This picture is a week and a half old.

Both midwife and doctor agree that everything is going as planned, they dont agree totally on the date im due. The Doctor says 7th of july and the midwife says 15th. I choose to belive in the 7th and hope to give birth a day or tree before. Baby dont kick so much more, it have found new fun games, like slideing feet along the ribs, or push lungs/stumach with feet so head get pushed down on the bladder, oh the joy. Its a very active kid theres in there, sometimes i wonder if its a kid or a kangaroo. 

Well to end I went to a fantastic babyclothes shop yesterday. One of the girls from watergyms showed it to me. Im not sure im happy to have found it, but I am happy i don’t know the gender yet, cus that would have made me gone nuts in some of the more gender specific things they had. I ended up with only one set. The first I bought at all. Im a bit proud that I been able to hold back for so long. But this one had cowfeet and is just horrobly cute and not gender specific, and it was hanging there in the right size and all. So here it is.

Now I need to get the kid some underwear, towels and bedcovers, and then we are ready for arrival. Well that and to get some tidying done so there is space for it as well.

Now I will make some food, and hope that I get to eat without haveing my stomach pushed by small feet.

First of all we had the scan of the baby done. Everything looks normal and go after plan, excapt for the fact that they moved my due date from the 7th of July to the 15th. The baby did not want to show it’s gender, and if you look on the picture you can see it hideing it’s bits with the knees.

I have stopped working now. My pelvis sadly hurt to much to do cope with beeing a nurse. It worries me a bit that the time might be passing alot slower, becourse i dont really feel like its rushing allready. At least my famely and friends have been a great help in that way. The last week and a half we been to 5 birthdays. If i see one more lagkage the next month im not sure I will take it well tho.

I stopped loosing weight for now, its been steady for a cubble of weeks now. I can see the belly growing now, and its starting to look like im pregnant, and even better I can feel the baby kick allmost everyday now. It is a great feeling to feel how the kicks get stronger and stronger. Today I rested a book on my tummy while reading, and suddenly its started bounsing. Aparently my inner alien was not to happy with a book resting on it’s head.

Else my time been spend going to physiotherapist and zone therapist. It’s been helping me a bit. I feel alot more mobile after I had massage and zonetherapy, that is after I slept a hour or two, becourse it makes me very tired. When easter is over im planning to go try out how swimming will be like now. Everyone say it should be very good exersice even with a bad pelvis.

It is a bit annoying to be limited to think of how far can handle to walk and move around now, instead of just leaving the house. I need to remember not to do to much shopping as well unless i have Matthew with me to carrie it.

To spend some of the extra hometime, i took up crochet. Im learning partly from the internet and partly from famely. The plan is to make squares for now. Knowing my self im not to sure of how persistent I am. Im figureing that squares can be made into a blanket for a baby bed, or a bib.  The colour choise is of course not easy with the little bugger hideing like that, so instead Im just makeing it multicoulered.

I also had a the 24 week doctors checkup, and allso here everything was normal. I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. It’s allways nice to get varified that there is actually someone in there. It’s still a bit surreal to me that this whole thing end up with us beeing parents. Luckyly i have about 4 more months to get used to that.

This week we told her she is going to be a big sister. And she seem pretty happy about that, even thought there is a looong way from London to Cobenhagen. Next time she come the baby will be around one month old.

About the baby. The scan we was suppose to get, was not possible. The baby was just on the small side. Nothing wrong, just a bit to small to see all the things they needed to. So we go rescheduled till the 29th. So on friday we try agein, perhaps this time it wanna show off. I do have my doubts tho, it seem to be very shy when it come to scans. There is alot of people who want to know if it’s a boy or a girl. All the grandparents and great grandparents want to know what colour they should buy or knit outfits in. And everyone else is just curius.

I’m week 21 now and a little bit more then halfway. I feel like the time has stopped and the months passes slower. I know now why pregnant women count weeks and not months. Its to have a small feeling of that time actually do pass. Everything seem fine. My pelsvis pains is slowly getting worse tho, and thats even tho my weightloss is now up on 10 kilos. I’m still not sure I will be able to work untill may, but I will keep takeing one day a time and see how it goes.

I can see my belly now, not that much that strangers would notice it’s not just fat, but I know, and everyone who knows me know, so that’s at least a comfort. I can still fit into all my clothes, or rather most of em are actually to big. Im expecting to grow into them, but I do hope I get to buy new once on the summersales in end of July.

After two ours work, wash and wondering about how many odd things that actually is out of date ( who looks at dates on frosting springels and tealeaves anyway?) the stunning result was a cupboard that i can now feel safe about when opening the door.

Its just a start on furture weekend events, there are still drawers with papers, copboards with kitchen tools and bookcases to clean out. Oh and i allmost forgot the “save”spots for clutter under the bed on on the shelfs in the hall. I need to make some space if I shall ever find anywhere to put baby furniture. Thank God I still have almost 5 months to go.

This morning I woke up in a perfect mood. Sun is shineing, home is clean, and we had a good evening yesterday with my parents. I had invited them for dinner and they just wanted to make sure that i would let em watch X-factor. Even tho they had a very nice dinner, the chokolate and coffea vanished from the plate as well while the singing bursted out of the telly.

My mum and stepdad have been very happy with me beeing pregnant, and I think my mum is just on the edge all the time to go get cute baby outfits. Only problem is that noone know if its a boy or a girl yet. On next tuesday we might know. Im haveing a scan and a doctors examine, but if its just as cooperative as last time i had a scan, it will lie with crossed legs and refuse to show off.

I have a need to get out in the world today, the weater look very friendly, and the man in the radio promise up to 10 degrees. Thats close enough to spring to me. Now I just want to see if I can make anyone join me. The view from my window is dragging me out there.
